It all started in 1963 when Mr. Nash Harvey had a passion to serve his community at Alderwood Discount Drugs. Mr. Harvey has dedicated his life to make a difference and go the extra mile to care for young and elderly neighbors in Etobicoke, Ontario area.
Year over year, the number of patients that he served has grown, and although so many friends have repeatedly asked him to open different franchises for SAVON Drug Mart, he declined so many opportunities in order to serve his local community. His paramount goal is to make a change to how patients are taken care of from the minute they walk into his pharmacy.
This vision has touched each and every person who worked with him, and his passion carries on to this date.
In 1995, ownership of the pharmacy has been passed to Savon Drug Mart, and sold to Mr. Tony Santruno and Mr. Larry Rozen. Mr. Satruno expanded ther services by adding a clinic attached to the pharmacy. In 2003, Mr. Emad Mankarios acquired both the pharmacy and the clinic. Mr. Mankarious is a compassionate pharmacist and a client-centred practitioner. His desire is to embrace the latest advances in modern day pharmacy and implement latest technologies in health care to help patients live better.
SAVON pharmacy is continuously looking at venues to improve its services to make the patients' expereince truly different. Now patients can easily fill, refill, or even transfer their prescription online or from their mobile phone by taking an image and either emailing or texting it to [email protected]

I am grateful and touched by the effort that the pharmacist, Nabil Ibrahim, put into talking me through an urgent healthcare concern. I did not have a family doctor urgently and some help with addressing my concern until I could get an appointment with a family doctor. Not only did he talk me through the issue, he recommended a family doctor in my neighbourhood and called her clinic to set up an appointment for me. I saw the doctor within 2 days. This pharmacy has outstanding customer service! My experience was amazing! The staff are so personable. I am on many medications and the pharmacist took a lot of time to customize my medications so I could fill them all at the same time. Something that other local pharmacies did not do. This is a great business in our neighbourhood and I will definitely continue to come here.
